I dug up the janky-ass animation I did to get into CSSSA’s animation department last year.  It was the best thing to happen to me in high school pretty much.

The animation stuff they teach you is basic stuff that you could totally learn by yourself, but it’s the PEOPLE MAN, the people you meet!  Your classmates are awesome (i am still super jealous of their skills BUT that just gives me the motivation to get better) and the teachers are kickin’ rad chillbros.  The films you watch will FRENCH YOUR MIND.  And, personally, I was really thankful they didn’t just show and teach Disney style stuff, because god knows there’s an animation world outside of Disney/Pixar.  Though it was pretty cool that Pixar peoples visited!

And if you’re looking to get into CalArts, you’ll know pretty much what CalArts wants by the end of summer!  I’d already submitted a shitty portfolio (oh god I don’t even want to think about it) to CalArts by the time I went to CSSSA, but I’m fairly confident that I could get put together a good portfolio now!  I’d still need to level up my figure drawings though ;~;  I’m kinda thinking of transferring before junior year!

*gulp*

I gotta step up my animation game. xD This is sick!

Since the new episodes of Sherlock are airing soon, I thought I’d do a little recap of the first series for you guys. You know, just a little refresher.

I think you forgot gay.

Breathing is boring indeed.

This is accurate.

I would have thrown in one or two ‘Gay Snark’ thematic points, but, overall, yus.

No, seriously. Be my gay husband.

Yes. I would do nothing all day but warm myself in the soothing glow of your gayness. That, and write lengthy treatises on how all conventional contemporary Western standards of masculine beauty can just go fuck right off and die in fires.
Darkling, I Listen: Gaywatch: 'Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows' (2011)

Sequels are hard. You have to take everything up a couple notches without completely blowing your load (because there will probably be a third one) and find a difficult balance between giving people what they loved about the first and keeping things fresh to avoid making it feel…

100 THINGS WE LOVE ABOUT CHRIS COLFER

Inspired by this post! Obviously his amazing qualities far outnumber what I could include here, but here’s a hundred off the top of my head… I did my best to include a variety. List is under the cut. :)

Courage: Glee at Paramount Studios

chrisspiration:

So, basically, I got to go on a tour at Paramount Studios while they were filming Glee there (yesterday) and my tour guide, who had been there a while, had some stories to tell about the cast. Thought I’d share. (:

“Chris is a very, very private guy.”
From what my guide…
